Q. What should I bring?
A. Lunch, drinks (beer is OK, water is recommended), polarized sunglasses, hat, sunblock lotion (25spf or higher), deck shoes or tennis shoes (no black soles please), light colored long sleeve shirt and pants (lightweight if it’s very warm).
Q. Is there a restroom nearby?
A. Yes, we are normally 15 minutes or less from a public restroom. Multiple visits are OK since you are the client. Your comfort is one of my top priorities.
Q. Should I be worried about getting seasick?
A. Because the majority of the water we will be fishing in is shallow and relatively calm, it is highly unlikely. Except for a handful of fishing trips on the Atlantic side, nobody has ever had motion sickness while in my boat.
Q. Does everyone on the boat have to fish?
A. This is your trip. If you prefer to go on a photography/nature expedition or read a book I will happy to oblige.
Q. I've never fished in my life, or it's been a long time, what will I do?
A. I will be happy to teach you and your friends or family how to bait, cast and catch. You don't even have to touch the bait if you don't want to, I can handle that as well (4 years and older).
Q. Can I bring my own rods and reels?
A. I supply all necessary equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Q. Will I catch anything?
A. You Will Catch Fish! There is always something biting in the Keys. It's the Sport Fishing Capital of the World. Whether you are looking for a delicious seafood dinner or just a challenging catch, there is something for everyone.
Q. What if I have more than 3 or 4 people in my group?
A. I have qualified captains in the area that can be added to our group to accommodate you. Corporate groups, bachelor adventures, large families and private fishing competitions can all be arranged. I can design your trip for anything you desire.
