Bill Bender was, until recently, a long time resident of Islamorada, FL., and is also a licensed USCG Captain and Everglades Fishing Guide in the Florida Keys with over 20 years in the area. He has fished the entire State of Florida for more than half a century. Few Florida fishing guides have his level of knowledge and expertise serving clients from all around the globe.

He specializes in family fun-type fishing for action. He is also well known for shark fishing for up to 10 species. Locals, guides and clients have called him the “fish whisperer” because of his uncanny ability to always find something biting. His boat, The Chesapeake Lady, is a 22' Sterling flats boat with a Kevlar hull. It has a 225hp Yamaha V-max motor and he typically cruises at 35-40mph.

He has recently returned to Tampa, FL. where he lived for many years before moving to the Florida Keys. Captain Bill thanks all of the clients that he's had a chance to meet and serve over the last several decades and looks forward to renewing charter services, even if limited, in the Tampa area sometime in 2010.
